Training
Julie has always loved and wanted to work with animals. She began her journey about 15 years ago when she qualified as Tellington Touch practitioner, and although she does not use it as frequently as she used to, it is often incorporated into her daily routines. Tellington Touch, or T touch, as it sometimes referred to, is a form of teaching devised by Linda Tellington Jones, and further information about this is available online to those who are curious.
Julie started learning her dog training techniques from an old master, then became fully qualified with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT).
A key feature of IMDT training is to use “Force Free” techniques, reward based training and stricly no negative equipment or contact.
Some of the force free training includes:
- Recall
- Sit
- Stay
- Settle
- Emergency stop
- Fun bonding games
- Loose lead walking
- Enrichment
1-2-1 for individual requirements or group classes for extra socialisation.
Group classes are catered for different age groups and different abilities.
Doggy Daycare
This is perfect for busy dog owners, who want their four-legged friends to be in company while they are at work.
In some circumstances, dogs can be collected on route, but normally owners will bring their dogs. The last thing Julie wants is to be driving around the neighbourhood all day with the dogs in the van when they want to be out socialising with each other and getting lots of lovely exercise.
We call it “day care” but sessions can be split into half days, depending on what is needed, and owners can collect their dogs from Julie’s home in Beckingham, or from the fields at Gringley on the Hill or Beckingham.
Julie’s van is an ex-police dog van completely kitted out and air conditioned to ensure safety and comfort.
1/2 days = 4 1/2 hours
Full day = 9 hours

Stay & Play
This is an organised session in a safe environment – Julie needs to know which dogs are coming on which days, so she can manage all their different personalities and needs, avoiding the mayhem that could otherwise be created. Once Julie has become familiar with their different temperaments, she can confidently let compatible dogs play their doggy games. Owners will stay with their dogs, and have the opportunity to chat to Julie or to one another, and refreshments are available.

Home Boarding
Julie doesn’t have kennels so borders live in the house with her and her pets as one of the family. Before they are expected to live together in harmony Julie likes to meet perspective houseguests so she can assess her visitors needs as well as her own pets’ wellbeing. She will find out all about the needs of your pet to ensure she can meet those to your satisfaction.

House Visits
This is for other sorts of pets – cats, rabbits etc, where Julie will feed, water and clean litter trays, so that owners have the peace of mind to know that if they have to be away from the house for any length of time, their pets are not suffering.
